Andy Bloch Wins First WSOP Bracelet

Andy Bloch Wins First WSOP Bracelet
Andy Bloch has been playing poker for two decades now, but had yet to win a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. This poker player has already won more than $4,500,000 in poker tournaments, but had yet to win a WSOP event. Bloch once finished in second place in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. poker tournament, having lost to the now deceased poker great, Chip Reese. Bloch has been playing in WSOP events since 1992, and the second place in the H.O.R.S.E. tournament took place in 2006. Bloch has often been known as the “best player never to win a bracelet.” With his win at Event #7, Bloch won the $1,500 Seven Card Stud WSOP 2012 poker tournament. He beat Barry Greenstein, who took second place. Stephen Su came third, and David Williams made it to fourth place. Huu Vinh came fifth, and Lee Goldman came 6th. 7th place went to Caroline Hermesh, and Scott Abrams took the 8th place. The lowest winnings at the final table of this tournament, taken by Scott Abrams, was $11,618. Barry Greenstein won $78,038 in second place, and Andy Bloch’s win won him not only the bracelet for this WSOP bracelet event, but also $126,363. The 7th and 8th place holders, Caroline Hermesh and Scott Abrams, were eliminated about an hour into the last day of this tournament. Soon after Hermesh was out, Lee Goldman was also knocked out. At this stage, Williams held the chip lead, only dropping the chip lead after a break. Within 20 minutes of returning to the poker table, Williams had dropped his chick count to below that of Su and Greenstein. When the game was down to three players, Block was already in the lead, although it was still possible for either Greenstein or Su to turn the tables. Bloch’s chips stack did get smaller, but after dinner, he took just 15 minutes to climb back into the lead. Casino Hold’em from World Match

Casino Hold’em from World Match
World Match, the online casino software provider and developer, has released a new and exciting online casino poker game. The new game is called Casino Hold’em. The game is based on the very popular Texas Hold’em poker game, however, instead of poker players playing against each other, they are playing against the online casino, and not against the other players. World Match has made sure to design the game area to make it clear to players so that they can easily spot winning combinations. The game has cards that are bigger than the normal cards that are used in Texas Hold’em online poker games, and also have 3D graphics to enhance the playing experience. The 3D effects add a touch of realism, and give players more of the feel of an actual land based poker room. Players also get the chance to win more with the AA Bonus Card Feature that gives players the chance to win large sums of money from the online casino Casino Hold’em poker game. This bonus feature offers many possible combinations, making each hand more exciting and thereby offering more ways to win. The game comes with two variations from which players can choose. There is the Pro version and the Privee version. The two versions differ in that they offer different betting limits for both the minimum and maximum wagers allowed. The Casino Hold’em onlien poker game is somewhat of a mixture between Texas Hold’em and various online casino slot games. These wagering limits will different from online casino to online casino depending on the betting limits offered at the casino or online poker site. These games can already be found at online casinos that are operated by the World Match online casino software provider. For those players who wish to try a new online poker experience, Casino Hold’em is certainly worth trying. Online Poker On the Up and Up in 2012

Online Poker On the Up and Up in 2012
Online poker traffic in the first week of 2012 has increased by almost 10 percent, according to an independent online poker study performed by PokerScout, an online poker traffic monitoring website. Although the general trend was to have an increase in traffic at online poker sites, it seems that the French PokerStars site had somewhat of a decline in its player base. It has been said that the reason for this is the new way that PokerStars has decided to calculate the rake, and the new version of how to calculate VIP points. It seems that many poker players have chosen not to play at PokerStars in protest. PokerStars.com, however, has had about a 5 percent increase for real money games during the same time period. While PokerStars.com has had some increase in traffic, it is not as high as the increase in the traffic to other online poker operations. Party Poker’s increase in player volume reached 29 percent in the first week of January, and this increase is most likely because of the changes that this poker site has made because of its VIP rake race promo which was launched on 2nd January 2012. Because of this increase in players, the online poker site moved up in rank to reach the position of the second largest online poker site in the industry, with the iPoker Network drooping down a position. While online poker traffic was up for the first week of the New Year, 2011 showed a general decline in online poker traffic by 31 percent on a global level. This decline, however, is due to the legal actions that took place in the United States that was aimed at some of the bigger online poker sites such as PokerStars, Absolute Poker, and Full Tilt Poker.
