Its a fact that, even if Texas Holdem has been played since centuries, it becomes very popular nowadays and more and more every year. Everywhere in the world we are talking about the rgles du Poker Texas Holdem as the French guys would say!
Everybody knows its particular table, with all players seated around and concentrated as if anything else in the world was existing. Used to be a man thing, it was accompanied with bear or whisky, cigars and basement parties. You had to know people or be part of a private club to manage to approach the game, even visually.
But now, we can easily say that its much more a popular game. Two main reasons for that: The online poker availability and the fact that its the most current poker show we can see on TV.
But the game is not so simple; we really recommend you to practice into free parties and learn the rules before entering the real gambling.
First of all, know your position. A new gambler, focused on the rules will not evaluate how important is his placement around the table. Nevertheless, it will figure part of his hand. This place, which changes every party, may determine if youll keep betting, win or give up. The worst one is placed at the right side from the one who puts the small blind: youll be the first to bet the game. Consequently, the favorite one is the last one. You can see the game going one and you are the last one to bet. Youve seen the others reactions, all the previous betting and in a kind of way, it seems to be the more careful position.
But lets focus on the rules. Theyve nearly never changed. From the beginning of the game, you have the small blind and the big blind; the second doubles the first, and both can increase during the party. Each player, with a couple of cards has to go on if he wants to keep playing. Afterwards, the croupier distributes 2 cards each and burns 1 to 2 cards on the table. That means those cards are off the game. The players decide to keep or to leave. If they stay, they make another betting round. Than 3 common cards are presented on the count of play, helping the gamers to fix up their hand. Once again, they keep or leave, betting for the last time. Those 3 cards are decisive. If you leave, you lose all the money betted until this point. If you keep, you make up a chance to win the final round, which means all the money placed in the pot.
